At the heart of one of England’s most beautiful regions, Holly Lodge is ideally placed for the glorious countryside of Exmoor National Park, the Quantock Hills and the North Devon coastline. At the same time, Minehead with its seafront, harbour and wide range shops, pubs, restaurants and local bus services is only 1 ½ miles away.
In a tranquil rural setting on the edge of the National Park, Holly lodge stands in a beautiful three acre garden, with outstanding 180o views with the sea on one side overlooking Minehead and the approaches to Dunster through to the wooded slopes of Exmoor.
Also within easy reach are Watchet and Dunster with it’s castle and medieval Yarn Market, the picturesque villages of Selworthy and Allerford, Porlock and Porlock Weir harbour, and the attractive resorts of Lynton and Lynmouth.

The area provides endless opportunities for sight seeing, with wonderful scenery wherever one goes and a truly spectacular coastline westward from Porlock and Lynmouth. Local beauty spots include Dunkery Beacon, the Doone Valley, Tarr Steps, Watersmeet and the Valley of Rocks.
There is also a wide range of local attractions including the West Somerset Railway, whose steam trains run between Minehead, Watchet and Bishop’s Lydeard.
This is an ideal area for walkers and there are many opportunities for bird watching, cycling, riding and other outdoor pursuits as well as a choice of beaches for the children. There are also numerous attractive Gardens and Houses open to the public within a convenient distance.
Minehead has a golf course, an excellent indoor swimming complex and a Leisure centre offering squash, tennis, badminton and a full gym facility as well as daily organised children's activities during the school holidays. |
ACCOMMODATION
The Lodge is spacious and fully equipped to four star standard with four bedrooms and is capable of sleeping up to twelve people. The accommodation consists of One double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower over. One double bedroom with space for a child's Z bed.
One twin bedroom with pull down child's bunk bed.
One bunk bedroom with an additional single bed which has a further single pull out bed under.
One disabled shower room with large shower cubicle capable of taking a wheelchair if required.
One bathroom able to cater for those requiring disabled toilet facilities. Fully fitted kitchen and dining room. Kitchen has dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave, electric oven and hob. There is an automatic washing machine provided. Access to veranda and entrance facing South/South East equipped with garden table and chairs. |

Sitting room with colour tv and video with a double bed settee and access to one veranda facing South West with its own garden table and chairs. There are alternate TV points in various bedrooms and parking for up to four cars adjacent to the Lodge.

The Lodge stands apart within 2.5 acres of gardens along with five smaller Lodges and two cottages. Gas barbeques are available for hire for a nominal charge. There is a childrens play area, a games room with a pool table, table tennis and table football. There is a nine hole putting green within the gardens.
The Lodge is open all year and Short Breaks are available from October to mid May. The owners live on the property and provide a warm welcome to visitors on their arrival. |
One Dog is accepted by prior arrangement on condition that they are kept on the lead and exercised in the designated area. Smoking is not permitted within the property.
