CORONAVIRUS SPECIAL MEASURES – WE ARE ALLOWED TO REOPEN
We are keen to ensure that our guests have the peace of mind to enjoy their holiday at Woodcombe. We thought we should let you understand the actions we have taken to protect you while staying on site.
ARRIVAL
Earliest arrival time has moved to 4pm to allow for additional cleaning and sanitising.
We will inform you where to find your keys so you to enter on your own.
We will be available on site, on the phone or at the house where there will be a map of the site if you are uncertain as to where your accommodation is sited.
DEPARTURE
please ensure you vacate by 10 am as we have a lot of extra work to do. We would ask if possible that you strip your own beds and leave them separating bath mats and towels (if you order them) from bed linen as the laundry is now demanding we separate each item type to allow for operatives to maintain social distancing.
CLEANING & SANITISING
All accommodation will be given a thorough clean as normal and then all regular contact surfaces such as work tops, handles, grab rails, taps, pull switches, remote controls, keys and fobs will be sanitised with approved antiviral liquids or the whole interior sanitised with an advanced sanitising fogging system.
EQUIPMENT
All non-essential items will have been removed from the accommodation to reduce extra cleaning and items that it are difficult to sanitise and could spread the virus so do not expect the normal games, books, puzzles, ornaments etc. Please bring your own.
CATERING EQUIPMENT, CUTLERY etc
The equipment will be reduced to essential items for the numbers staying and basic cooking so the normal surfeit of knives and forks, plates and general cooking implements may be less than you are used to. The equipment will have been either run through the dishwasher if fitted or hand washed prior to your arrival. Please forgive us if we have to leave the equipment in the dishwasher if timing is tight.
Any shortages or special items you may want can be obtained from us at the house if you give us a call we will drop them off. Daytime calls only if possible, please!
SITE FACILITIES
Laundry Room
The laundry room will still be open with a supply of wipes and hand sanitiser available. Please only enter if no one else is in there.
Please wipe all surfaces you are going to touch before handling the equipment.
Information Centre
The information centre is based in the laundry room which displays local maps, notices and brochures. Please avoid touching these. Leaflets and guided walk sheets will be available, please take away what you touch and dispose of them afterwards. Thank you.
Please do your research online for local information, there is a lot on our web site under holiday themes or you can access these via the login on your booking confirmation. You will also find plenty of information on our Instagram and Facebook pages and on the Visit Exmoor, The Exmoor National Park, the National Trust and Visit Somerset web sites.
Putting Green & Play equipment
Putters and balls will have been removed but the putting green will still be available so do bring your own putters and balls. The markers will be adjacent to the holes. Please do not touch them unless essential.
Games Room, Swings and Sandpit- unfortunately in the interests of everyone’s protection these will have to be closed until we are instructed it is safe to open them.
PLEASE RESPECT OTHER GUESTS SPACE AND MAINTAIN THE PROPER SOCIAL DISTANCING RULES.
